I love Fall!
In non-stamping news, I'm ready for fall! I'm really into earth tones brightened up with aqua these days. I just bought a hand-knitted Lorigami scarf and crocheted earrings. Dressing around these colors have been fun! I'm going to start working on a calendar swap soon and I voted for mint chip! I hope we go with these colors!

A Muse Demo
I'll be at Stampin' EJ's on October 7th giving a FREE* demo! But you must sign up with Eva. Click here for the details. And stay for my holiday class afterwards. It'll be a lot of fun!
Here are a couple of samples. I love coloring in Boris with the spilled test tube liquids. I hope he's okay! I got the idea from Janna, the manager over at Violet's Rubber Stamp Inn. What a coolio idea!
I used some new punches and my new mini-scallop scissors last night. Unfortunately, I got a bum mini-pinking pair. I'm going to have to write to Fiskars. They just won't open to cut. Very strange.
* There's a $5 club meeting fee but you get a $5 coupon off your purchase.

Hello, Pumpkin
From our house to yours
Patch wishes you sweet holiday wishes! On the inside is stamped, "from our house to yours."
I love these Creative Candy clear stickers from A Muse. They are so clear! And the shapes are so fun. They come in other scalloped shapes as well as solid circles and squares.
Yep, this was another design taught at Violet's. The students really loved cute Patch. :) This would be a super cute and fast card to make in batches for the holidays. And to give it a "lift," mount the center piece with foam tape.
Notecard and stamps by A Muse. Design by SLD.

Little Elves
Here's another card we did at Violet's! The green is actually twinkling H2Os. And the red on the trees are dots of stickles. You can also use many twinkle stickers but I just used one tiny gold star on top.
Oooh, 8 punches, a replacement blade for my paper cutter and mini pinking and mini scallop scissors have arrived! I'm going to have fun tonight!
Cheers to you!

A Muse Gala
Did you hear? A Muse opened a retail outlet in Seattle. And they're having a gala event on October 7th. There's going to be lots of fun events including classes. Check it out!
I wish I could go! But instead, I'll be down in Costa Mesa that day demonstrating A Muse at Stampin' EJ's as well as teaching a holiday class. So, if you're in the So Cal area, come on by. You must register in advance though. Details here. Last I heard, my class is rapidly filling up. There's only THREE spots left. So, hurry and sign up.
But tomorrow...I'm at Violet's in Ventura. It'll be a cozy day making Halloween and Holiday cards. Pilgrims might even make an appearance. :)

Martini Shower
I was comissioned to make a card for a "martini shower"- the colors they requested were pink and brown. This couldn't have been a more "me" commission!
The card is huge (8.5 X 5.5) -- basically a sheet of cardstock folded in half. All stamps by A Muse. The smaller photo is the inside of the card. I obviously couldn't get enough of pretty patterned paper and went a little crazy. :)

A Bunch of Thanks
I apologize in advance if you are the receipient of one of these cards and see it before you get it in person. These five are for those who sent me birthday gifts. I'll be making more thank you cards in the next couple of days.
You may click on the cards to view them larger. All stamps and notecards by A Muse.

September birthdays!
This one is for my friend Donna whom I'm partying with tonight! I love this snakeskin ric rac! I was so excited to have found it! It was only 15 cents a yard at a little fabric shop in AZ. All stamps by A Muse. I really liked dressing up the flowers with the twinkle stickers (A Muse's Creative Candy). To creat the soft "cloud" of color around the flower drinks, I stippled both light pink and red inks. The yellow flower brad is a Queen and Co brad.
Don't forget I'm teaching this Saturday at Violet's in Ventura! I'll kick off with a Halloween class and then TWO different holiday classes. Stop on by for the fun!
You can check out the samples in the gallery.

birthday tags
My birthday was this past Monday. I usually make little favors for my guests and these were the designs I came up with. All stamps by A Muse except for Get Swanky (Hampton) and the princess (whom I think looks like me and I use her almost every year- Atomic Icons). I LOOOOOVE the paisley number clear stamp set from A Muse.

Whipping it up
I went to Melissa Etheridge's concert last night and I was really inspired by her stage design. I plan to make some cards based on the color combos I saw.
In the meantime, I only had a couple of minutes to whip up a birthday card for a friend I'm seeing tonight. Grabbing random paper, stamps and ink...ribbon and brads and voila! The classic Take Ten style is seen here. I know not all the colors match but I think there's something fun and unexpected about this card that makes it a perfect 30th birthday card. And, I love those Marvy Clever Lever punches. It makes layering so easy! All stamps by A Muse. The "cruisin'" stamp is one of my favorites. On the inside, I've stamped "happy birthday, little lady"...another favorite stamp of mine. It always makes me giggle.
