I finally managed to buy the October/November Stampers Sampler. I let my subscription run out a while ago-- and didn't take them up on their offer for a free magazine. I like getting the postcards in the mail.
In any case, I have an A Muse card published on page 11.
...
In other news, I found this super cool. CHA is going to display indie crafts!

baby shower

I made 30 of these card with the sleeping baby for my friend's shower.
Then I made 30 of these teddy bear cards for her thank you cards. I left them blank so she could use them for birth announcements if she wanted.
I also made 20 of these that I'm debating turning into little books or a wall hanging. I can't seem to find my regular hole punch. Gah. It took over 6 hours of stamping and I'm still not done. But I will have to finish them up soon since the shower is on Sunday.

new year, new stuff...
er, soon. Yes, yes, I know '07 was a bad year for stamping for me. I'm gearing up and changing directions this year. I'll be reverting back to my more natural, collage style and showing new artwork in the next few weeks.

Until then, did everyone see Barry from Rubber Poet is looking for love?
Post New Years greetings from the Rubber Poet. Hoping that the coming year will be creative, joyous, more peaceful and always "poetic" in scope.
More to matters of the heart and soul, are you a woman who enjoys the
Rubber Poet aesthetic, who might want to meet a middle aged Jewish
eccentric and experiencelife in the slow lane of rural Utah?
Yes, This Rubber Poet is seeking a woman to share his bucoliclife in a
simple passive solar house amidst the backdrop of Zion Canyon. I am a

Wedding Season is over!

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted since May. I had an extremely busy summer being a bridesmaid in two different weddings. All I can say is it's like a part-time job!
Here's a couple of cards I made. One is for the more recent wedding.
And the other is for a birthday party I went to last week.
Wedding card features a cake from The Cat's Pajamas.
The turtle is from Time to Stamp.
Look for my Halloween card coming out in the September/October RubberStampMadness!
Now, back to stamping! I'm going to be making 25-30 favors for my own birthday party next week. Whew, it never stops!

favors, favors, favors

Stuff I've been making:
shell necklaces (40)-- beach wedding shower favors
This requires patience, calloused finger tips and did I mention patience? I can't find my hinged needle nosed pliers and have been twisting the artistic wire with a regular pair and my fingers to create the loop. Then I packed them in with a simply stamped tag with the bride's first initial and date of her shower.
found beach glass (20)-- beach bachlorette party favors
Okay, so I didn't really do anything but stamp simple tags to pack up the scented found beach glass shards.
Wine tags (3)-- to be tied onto wine bottles for wine shower game prizes
Simple! I know, I'm working on quick and easy right now.
Wine charms (30) -- wine shower favors
My cousin has a wine theme (if you haven't guessed by now) so I made some wine charms. They're not exactly pretty (damn my not finding the hinged needle nose pliers!) but hopefully the phrase is amusing. "Life's too short for small diamonds and cheap wine!" (it's on the front side- not shown). I'm showing the stamped side where guests will write their names on.
Merry Merlot bag-
I haven't decided what to do with this yet. I may stamp some more to gussy up the bag. I think I'll use it to store a special gift for the bride as part of my shower gift to her.
Still to do:
3 Gift tags for beach shower game prizes.
15 Favors for wine bachlorette party night.
Shower card for beach wedding
Bachlorette party card for beach bach party night
Shower card for wine wedding
Bach party card for wine bach party night
Uh...I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
I'm hoping to get this all done before Memorial day!

woah! flash from the past!
I heard that Yahoo was going to stop hosting pictures in the Fall so the other day I was cleaning out some files but I kept some of my more favorite pieces of art including this one.
Today, I got my Stamper Sampler's Catch Up issue in the mail and found it published on page 122! I had submitted this card years ago. I would say I stamped it in 2004 or 2005. So don't give up hope, your piece of art may yet be published! :)
I also have another card on page 60, a wedding card called "Something Old" also stamped years ago.
I haven't been submitting lately. I plan to catch up with my personal stamping in the fall after all the weddings I'm in are done. I'm currently planning showers and bachlorette parties which means lots of favors, tags, place cards, prizes for games played all to be made...I'll post the pictures soon.

Which Grace Girl are you? I think I look like the last fishy girl. :) Visit the SSS gallery to see the other DT grace girls creations. And did you know we have a new group blog? More introductions will be added soon but we plan to update weekly with lots of fun stuff beginning in April.
Thanks to everyone who participated in my blog giveaway! Sandy J. won the set! They'll be winging her way along with a copy of RSM which featured four of my art pieces last Nov/Dec. :)
